Famous Art Car 'Mayan Warrior' Makes its East Coast Debut at The Brooklyn Mirage

In the first time since its creation, famous Mexican art car, Mayan Warrior will make its East Coast debut on Saturday, June 9 as the crew take over The Brooklyn Mirage for an incredible day through night event soundtracked by their favorite as yet to be announced special guests. With all proceeds going towards funding the art car's journey from Mexico City to Burning Man, this is a rare chance to see one of Black Rock City's most iconic art cars in the stunning surrounds of The Brooklyn Mirage against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.
Inspired by Mayan and Huichol art with a touch of modern tech, Mayan Warrior made its debut at Burning Man in 2011 and is a product of a new generation of Mexican artists led by founder Pablo Gonzalez Vargas. The massive collective of people from Mexico City and northern California includes artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians like Concret, Dramian, Mandrake and Rebolledo. Together they share a common goal of creating an immersive experience through art, music, and sacred and ancient sources of geometry; Mayan Warrior has become an on-going project of contemporary electronic expression.
Powered by 70,000 watts of electricity that delivers explosive production including a cutting edge RGB laser light show, psychedelic neon panels, and a sophisticated new sound system comprised of 24 d&b subs, and two full range line array speakers totalling 20 on the car, the techno-mystical art car is a true visual and auditory experience. Now with a tribal-futuristic cult, Mayan Warrior has flourished beyond its origins hosting fundraising parties in Tulum, Miami, Toronto, San Francisco, Dubai, Moscow and soon to be in New York City.
Teaming up with Reynard Productions (the crew behind The Cityfox Experience) these two powerhouses will join forces to create a spectacular sensory experience for New York City Burners. Utilizing The Brooklyn Mirage's state of the art technology which includes a KV2 soundsystem, 3D video projection mapping and top of the line lighting, this event promises to be a memorable appearance of one of the crown jewels of The Playa in Brooklyn's most impressive outdoor space.
