It is a family affair with the quartet group Fred Perry & Second Generation. We know families that pray together stay together and, in the instance of the Perrys', families also record heartfelt songs to the Lord together. Later this month, fans of quartet music will be able to experience the Perrys' ministry, as the group just signed its first national distribution deal with Central South Distribution. Their inaugural album under that deal, The Wisdom Project, will be released April 28th. In the meantime, the album's lead single, "Just Do It", is catching on at radio.
Written by baby boy Minister Isaiah Perry, "Just Do It" is a fun, up-tempo song that also features the youngest Perry's lilting lead vocals. "Just Do It" recently entered the radio airplay charts and is continuing to build. "This is a big day for us," says Tonya Perry, the group's manager, mother of the boys, and wife of Frederick Perry. "We have been working hard on a local and regional level, and we were praying for the opportunity to take our ministry national. The distribution deal with Central South is an answer to our prayers. We are excited and we are grateful." Roderick Jemison of Jemison & Associates brokered the deal with Central South Distribution. "Quartet music is a style of Gospel that will always have a special place in people's hearts. Not only is their music genuinely good, but the Perrys are special because they are a family group with the father at the helm. People just love watching and hearing them sing. Fred Perry & Second Generation are going to leave a strong imprint on Gospel music," says Jemison.Videos
