Fader Premieres Duo Neil Frances ASK ME ANYTHING Video Image

LA-based duo Neil Frances have shared their brand new video for their single "Ask Me Anything" HERE, from the debut EP Took A While. The visuals find the surreal and downtempo "Ask Me Anything" perfectly complemented with the dreamlike footage of an after school fairytale. Shot on Super 8, the video was directed by Kate Biel and Elliott Watson who create work together under the name KEWB. Neil Frances about the song, "we wrote this song very quickly, much faster than usual and we wanted it to feel current in subject matter while being influenced by an 80's production aesthetic."

Neil Frances are currently on tour with Poolside, and are set to headline LA's Moroccan Lounge on September 22nd. Later this month they'll join Jungle for a string of dates stopping in cities in California and Colorado.

Marc Gilfry and Jordan Feller met in 2012 under the guise of other endeavors, and reconnected four years later when Feller recruited Gilfry to sing on demos he had intended for use with female vocalists. But they much preferred the more lo-fi versions with Gilfry's guide vocals to the versions with different singers, quickly leading them to begin writing their own new material together. Their Took a While EP showcases an ear-pleasing blend of styles with shades of contemporaries such as Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, with lyrics that probe just what it means to be a functioning human on Earth in 2018.

The duo has quickly made a name for themselves by releasing unique covers by Womack & Womack's "Teardrops", Stardust's "The Music Sounds Better With You" as well as original songs like "Dumb Love", "Coming Back Around" and creating an encouraging critical buzz by opening for bands like Passion Pit and being supported by KCRW and Triple J radio alike. Highsnobiety likened their unique sound to, "driving down the Pacific Coast highway in a convertible with your best friend who keeps switching the music from Top 40 to a weird college radio show."
