Emerging Singer/Songwriter Evie Archer Hits #1 on Mediabase A/C

As Evie Archer (www.eviearcher.com) celebrated the release of Life In Sand, her highly anticipated full length debut album, on iTunes May 6, the red hot emerging singer-songwriter's "Close To You" continues full steam ahead with its rise up the Adult Contemporary charts.

The lead single from the new album, also released on Dark River Inc. , has reached #1 on the Mediabase A/C independent label most active release rankings. The track is also at #32 (indicating a bullet) on the Mediabase A/C chart, #34 on the BDS A/Cchart (where it is also #3 A/C New and Active) and #28 on the BDS A/C Indicatorchart. The single will also be playing in Forever 21 retail stores Nationwide.

Archer, who also recently released a passionate and hope-filled video for "Close To You," will be headlining a highly anticipated music industry record release party and showcase at The Cutting Room in New York City on Thursday, May 8.

Last fall, the singer opened for famed Irish folk/pop great Paul Brady and singer/songwriter Tyler Hilton at prominent East Coast venues (including The City Winery in New York City), and was a headliner at Philadelphia's Tin Angel. Over the past few months, she performed in NYC at the Rockwood Music Hall and theAnnie O Music Series at The Standard.

Archer made her radio debut last holiday season with "On Christmas Day," which played on many radio stations and all Macy's stores throughout the country.
