After announcing their partnership with San Francisco-based label The Flenser, genre-defying five-piece Elizabeth Colour Wheel are offering more clues to what they have in store for the world in 2019. The experimental five-piece have announced the imminent release of their first full-length, Nocebo, due out on March 15.
Listen to "23," the first track to be unveiled from their LP 'Nocebo,' now via BrooklynVegan.
Informed by the anxiety, fear and desire that teems modern living, Nocebo is a body of work that is at once paranoid and empowered, flirting with alt '90s rock, gauzy shoegaze, and serrated black metal riffing. Mixed and mastered by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets (The Body, Street Sects), Nocebo is a five-walled haunted house, constructed from the wild, chantlike vocals of Lane Shi, the heavy, reverberant guitars of Emmett Palaima and Alice Jackson, the sludgy, distorted bass of Billy Cunningham, and the powerful, aggressive drumming of Connor Devito.
Formed in 2014, Elizabeth Colour Wheel united as a vehicle for the members to explore new volumes and depths of their craft. Since their inception, Elizabeth Colour Wheel have shared the stage with numerous bands including Have A Nice Life, Planning For Burial, True Widow and Cloakroom.
Elizabeth Colour Wheel will be hitting the road this March in support of Nocebo. Album preorders are available now via The Flenser. More news coming soon.
