PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center(NBPC)has been selected by the band Drayter to receive 100% of the band's pre-order sales proceeds from their upcoming album, "NINE." The band's pop anthem, "Not Alone," will also be used to promote PACER's NBPC You're Not Alone, We're Here For You campaign. "Not Alone" was written about the realities of teens feeling isolated, being bullied, and thinking that no one cares. The song's positive message lets teens know that there is someone out there who truly cares. They are not alone.
"The key message of our You're Not Alone, We're Here For You campaign is to provide educators, parents and students guidance on how to create environments that are supportive, and to let anyone that has been bullied know that they are not alone," says Julie Hertzog, Director of PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. "Since over 13 million American students are bullied each year, building awareness is essential. Drayter's song, 'Not Alone,' fits our charter of awareness, education and prevention, and is another way to build that awareness by focusing on positive topics like kindness, support and hope through music."
"Not Alone," an impact track on Drayter's acclaimed full-length album "NINE," hits home not only for listeners, but especially for the band.
"Bullying can lead to low self-esteem, depression, and even self-harm. I know, I was bullied," says Liv Miner, the dynamic lead singer of Drayter. "When we wrote this song we wanted kids to know that they are never alone and there is always someone out there to talk to. By donating all of the pre-order sales from our new album to the National Bullying Prevention Center and their You're Not Alone, We're Here For You campaign, we hope that we can have a positive impact on their mission to build awareness and prevention against bullying."
