Downtown Boys long awaited debut LP Full Communism is released today via Don Giovanni Records! A thrashing record of songs about smashing the prison-industrial complex, racism, queerphobia, capitalism, fascism, boredom, and all things people use to try to close our minds, eyes and hearts, the band is the voice of a generation hell bent on change.

"Know your enemy. Know your context." These words were animated by Faye Orlove in the opening of Downtown Boys' new video for album track "Wave of History" which goes on to offer important statistics and highlights historic heroes who have done just that. Created weeks before the riots in Baltimore, it touches upon how far we've come and proves a timeless sense of urgency about how far society has yet to go.

Watch the "Wave of History" video where it premiered with Stereogum and we encourage you to post and share.

Downtown Boys are a bilingual political sax punk party from Providence, RI. Full Communism comes at a current critical moment in the struggle for justice being fought in the US and throughout the world. It is set to a commanding tempo programmed make you move regardless of whether singer Victoria Ruiz is singing or shouting. Shifting from English to Spanish, punk to rock to jazz to pure fun, their record is sure to open eyes, rattle ribs and bring dancefloors to their knees. The sextet will be on the road through the spring, hitting New York, DC and Chicago, see all the dates below.
