According to Knox News, Dolly Parton has unveiled the newest holiday expansion of Dollywood, Glacier Ridge.
Hear her talk about it in the video:
Glacier Ridge features new light displays and a 50-foot tree with synchronized light shows.
"We've been so blessed to have such a ... wonderful Christmas show every year ... and have a Christmas experience here since we started, so it just grew, grew, grew through the years, and it got to where ... we made as much business through Christmas as we almost do through the year, and so that's really a wonderful thing," said Parton.
Parton said that the area is inspired by her memories of growing up.
"... That whole joy of Christmas, of family, family being together - that's what Christmas means to me," she said. "(It's) good food, good fun, good family, you know, memories made during that time."
Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas festival begins Saturday, November 10, and will continue until January 5. In addition to the new Glacier Ridge, Smoky Mountain Christmas includes more than 5 million lights, the Parade of Many Colors, holiday shows, treats, costumed characters and other activities.
