MSG Entertainment announced today that DISPATCH, joined by special guest the John Butler Trio, will return to the stage at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 8:00PM for "DISPATCH: HUNGER," an event geared to shine a light on the issue of hunger in the United States. DISPATCH made their Madison Square Garden debut in 2007 for a similar event, "DISPATCH: ZIMBABWE," which sold out three nights at MSG. This year, a limited time Chase Advance Ticket sale will be available for Chase credit or debit purchases starting Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00PM through Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00PM while supplies last. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 12:00PM. Madison Square Garden will be the only place to see DISPATCH in North America in 2015.
DISPATCH members Brad Corrigan, Chad Stokes and Pete Francis met in college, formed a band, and with no radio airplay, major-label support, or significant press coverage, quickly became one of the biggest draws on the live music scene. Though DISPATCH hadn't released a full-length album since 2000 and officially called it quits in 2004, their music continued to capture the hearts and minds of new generations of rock fans through pure word-of-mouth.
DISPATCH has been known to use their platform - the stage - to raise awareness for humanitarian issues, including fundraising for the atrocities happening in Zimbabwe in 2007 and through their Amplifying Education campaign in 2011-2013. This time the band's goal of awareness remains the same, which is to draw attention to the issue of hunger in the United States.
Tickets are available via a Chase Advance Ticket sale Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00PM through Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00PM, and to the general public on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 12:00PM through Ticketmaster Charge By Phone (1-866-858-0008) and all Ticketmaster Outlets. Tickets will also be available in person at MSG, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre Box Offices beginning Saturday, January 24, 2015.
