City Parks Foundation's SummerStage is in full swing, with a diverse lineup of programming taking place all across New York City. For the most up-to-date scheduling and lineup for all SummerStage programming, visit www.SummerStage.org for all festival information.

On Sunday, July 15, one of New Orleans' long-running musical institutions, Rebirth Brass Band will perform in Central Park. They will be joined by Crescent City mainstay and the head of the Golden Eagle Mardi Gras Indian tribe, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux. This free show will take place from 3 to 7 PM. Doors open at 2 PM. Family Day will also feature a performance of "The Big Good Wolf" from the CityParks PuppetMobile at 2:30 PM and a Second Line workshop with the Lady Buckjumpers of New Orleans at 4 PM.

Also on Sunday, July 15th, some of hip-hop's most iconic influences will be performing a free show in Queens' Queensbridge Park. The hip-hop collective Native Tongues, founded by trailblazing experimentalists Jungle Brothers featured legendary acts such as De La Soul and Queen Latifah. The Jungle Brothers will be joined by Kool DJ Red Alert, one of hip-hops most important tastemakers, will be joined by a LEGION of up-and-coming new artists: DJ KOOL Flash and Bushwick MC O.C.. This free show is from 4 to 7 PM. The performance will feature a pre show Voices of a People's history workshop with hip hop artist and Queens' own Dres of Black Sheep at 4 PM.

On Wednesday, July 18 and Thursday, July 19, jam band juggernaut Dispatch will bring their upbeat, funk-folk rock to Central Park. Their most recent album, America Location 12, hit #4 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums. They will be joined by music collective Nahko and Medicine for the People, and singer-songwriter Raye Zaragoza. This show is produced by The Bowery Presents and will take place from 6 to 10 PM. Doors open at 5 PM. Tickets are $40.

Dance-pop artist George Lamond, well known for his club hits "Without You" and "Look Into My Eyes" will perform in Staten Island's Corporal Thompson Park on Thursday, July 19. He's joined by Staten Island's own classic freestyle group, Soul Sonic Force, and the ambidextrous talents of The Philharmonik. This free show is from 7 to 9 PM.

On Friday, July 20,Cece Peniston, a staple of dance floors since 1991, will perform at Corporal Thompson Park. With a special talent for getting crowds moving, Peniston can be expected to bring an exciting energy to SummerStage. Peniston will be joined by Robin S, who is known for radio hits "Show Me Love" and "Love & Love". DJ Joey Carvello, resident DJ at Mobile Mondays, will also perform. This free show is from 6 to 9 PM. There will be a freestyle dance workshop with Theresa Livingston at 6 PM.

SummerStage continues its run in Staten Island's Corporal Thompson Park on Saturday, Jul 21, with a performance from Los Angeles's Afro-Mexican six-pieces Las Cafeteras. The member's imbue social consciousness within their twist on traditional roots songs. They'll be joined by the Colombian luminaries M.A.K.U. SoundSystem and the wide-ranging stylings of the DJ duo iBomba. Cityparks PuppetMobile will perform "The Big Good Wolf" at 4 PM, and a pre-show Voices of A People's History Workshop with native New Yorker, playwright and Tony-Award winning poet Lemon Andersen will take place as well. This free show is at Corporal Thompson Park from 4 to 7 PM.
