Dilana to Perform at The Grove, 1/11

The Grove Theatre has announced that recording artist Dilana will perform at The Grove on Saturday, January 11th.

Fans discovered Dilana's songwriting skills and vocal power when she appeared on "Rock Star Supernova" on CBS in 2006. After the season's end, Dilana sang lead for the band LA Guns for three months before deciding to focus on her own works.

In 2009, after the digital release of her album "Inside Out" to International acclaim, Dilana toured the US, promoting her album, while opening for acts including Aerosmith. She also visited the Troops in Afghanistan and took the show to her homeland in South Africa.

Dilana was awarded a People's Choice Award for Gig of the Year after the 2007 Rockstar Iceland Concert, and won two Best Actress Awards and a Best Use of Music Award for her lead role and soundtrack recording in the 2010 film "Angel Camouflaged," where she starred alongside James Brolin and singer/songwriter Patty Smyth. For her support of the endeavors of charities including Safe Passage and the Lili Claire Foundation, Dilana has been celebrated for her charity work.

After spending much of 2012 writing, Dilana released a new album, entitled "Beautiful Monster" in 2013. "Beautiful Monster" features an original sound and style expressing deep emotions about how events in her life have affected her both personally and professionally.

Dilana appears at The Grove for one night only. The concert opens with a guest artist at 7:00 pm. Dilana performs at 8:00 pm.
