The Grove Theatre has announced that recording artist Dilana will perform tonight, January 11th at The Grove Theatre.
South African singer Dilana debuted her deep rock growl to U.S. audiences on the hit TV reality-competition show Rock Star Supernova, and has since gone on to release several solo albums, as well as sharing stages with Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Doobie Brothers. She also starred in the central role in the well-reviewed 2010 indie drama Angel Camouflaged, alongside heavyweights like James Brolin and Patty Smyth, taking home several Best Actress awards from various international film festivals. Now the famously dreadlocked singer-songwriter is touring with a full band behind her 2013 release Beautiful Monster.
The Union Drifters open the night at 7:00 pm. Performing Indie Folk from Southern California to Las Vegas, The Union Drifters have 8 original songs and are preparing to record their first album. The band features vocal harmonies, two acoustic guitars, violin, trumpet, and rhythm under the direction of 21 year old singer & songwriter, Richard Mann.
Dilana appears at The Grove for one night only. The concert opens with a guest artist at 7:00 pm. Dilana performs at 8:00 pm.
