Detroit's Chene Park Amphitheatre Summer Concert Season Running Now through Labor Day Weekend

Chene Park Amphitheatre, Detroit's premiere summer concert venue located along the Detroit River, fires up its summer season May 27, and runs through Labor Day weekend. The venue's summer concert season includes more than 25 shows featuring a diverse range of Jazz, R&B, Hip-Hop, Latin and 80s acts. Music lovers are welcomed to purchase tickets at the Chene Park Box Office and through http://www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are available starting at $19.*

This summer, Chene Park's renown Wednesday Jazzy Nights series lineup includes Will Downing, June 6; David Sanborn, June 13; Jody Watley, June 20; An Evening with Branford Marsalis, June 27; Norman Brown, July 11; Boney James, July 18; Kamasi Washington, July 25; Peabo Bryson, August 1; Damien Escobar, August 8; Jean-Luc Ponty, August 15; Raheem DeVaughn, August 22; and Rachelle Ferrell, August 29. National acts such as Mike Phillips, Bobby Caldwell, Carmen Rodgers, Will Holton and The Hamiltones will open shows throughout the season. The series will showcase many Detroiters including Mark Mixx & Tha Street Jazz Cartel, Tim Bowman, Sean Blackman, Zo!, Thornetta Davis, 313 The Live Experience, L'Renee and Lin Rountree.

Weekends at Chene Park feature some of the hottest acts including: Los Tigres del Norte, May 27; Jhene Aiko with Ro James and Yuna, June 9; Ronnie, Bobby, Rick, and Mike with Silk, June 16; Maze featuring Frankie Beverly with The S.O.S. Band and Angela Winbush on Father's Day June 17; Erykah Badu and Nas, June 23; The Whispers, The Dramatics featuring L.J. Reynolds and Midnight Star, June 30; Patti LaBelle and Kenny "Babyface" Edmunds, July 14; Lincoln First presents Ne-Yo and Brandy, July 20; The Roots and Common, July 27; Lost 80s Live! featuring A Flock of Seagulls, The Romantics, Wang Chung, Farrington and Mann, Naked Eyes, Nu Shooz and Animotion, July 28; Nissan presents A Night with Kem with Tamar Braxton, August 3; Kem is joined by India.Arie, August 4; and Earth, Wind and Fire with Sheila E., August 18.

2018 marks the first time that Earth, Wind & Fire, Los Tigres del Norte, Brandy, and Lost 80s Live! artists have appeared on the Chene Park stage. More than 150,000 guests are expected to attend concerts and special events during Chene Park's 2018 season. This year, The Right Productions commemorates 15 years of hosting the hottest summer shows in Detroit at Chene Park, including 15 years of its renown "Return of the Legends" concert held Labor Day weekend. More than 250 music legends and hottest acts have performed on the Chene Park stage.

A portion of Patti Labelle and Kenny "Babyface" Edmunds ticket proceeds will go to the United Negro College Fund.

Recognized among USA Today's 10Best see & do in Detroit and ranked #63 among Pollstar's Top 100 Amphitheatres in the World, Chene Park is a uniquely Detroit riverfront venue with a promenade, offering visitors walking trails and a fantastic view of Canada and barges on the water. Chene Park plans to employ 300 persons over the 2018 summer season.

The Wednesday Jazzy Nights series features 12 shows for the price of 11 at $268. The last opportunity for music lovers to purchase series passes is June 6th.
