With a sound that is built around upbeat rhythms, soft vocals, and synth melodies combined with effortless electronic R&B textures, 20 year old Atlanta native, Demo Taped, aka Adam Alexander arrives today with his highly anticipated sophomore EP, "Momentary", available via 300 Entertainment.

Having garnered critical acclaim from the likes of Pigeons and Planes, Billboard, Complex, Noisey, FADER, Interview Magazine, W Magazine, Stereogum and more, Demo Taped, has once again solidified himself as one of Atlanta's most promising young artists with "Momentary". With an already an impressive back catalogue that includes his debut "Heart" EP, he has generated over 7 million streams, toured with Nao and WET, was hand selected by Sylvan Esso to remix their tracks, and was named by Pigeons and Planes as a Top 20 Artist Under 20.

"Momentary" is a gorgeously lo-fi effort and staggering achievement from the bedroom producer. Woven throughout the five track EP are themes that touch on his own personal struggles with depression and anxiety, and we can hear the young artist explore the themes of identity, masculinity, family, relationships, and friendship. Demo Taped told i-D that, ultimately, "Momentary" is "all about perspective, and the way we view things. How the things we all experience - pain, doubt, joy, happiness - are momentary."

The first song from the EP, "Insecure", premiered on NPR. A new sound from Demo Taped, the song is an R&B track with a gospel redux. It was recorded in the church that his grandfather is the pastor of that was started by former slaves during the Civil Rights movement. His grandfather was close to Dr King and they marched together in Atlanta. Adam's father plays bass on the song and features musicians that play in the church that Adam grew up around. The nostalgic video for "Insecure," premiered on W Magazine.

Adam followed with "Pack of Gum," on Billboard, a song that saw him embrace his anxiety. Speaking to Billboard, Adam explained, "It's about not wanting to be forgotten by someone you love. It's called 'Pack of Gum' because when my anxiety was at its peak, it affected me physically. Sometimes I would get sick and so I resorted to carrying around a pack of gum at all times." The meaning carried over to the video as well, which premiered on PAPER Magazine and features a kitschy cute stop start animation video and love story, starring actual pieces of gum.

"Own It" was another shimmering song off the EP, which premiered on Pigeons and Planes earlier this week. The sound harkens back to Demo Taped's signature style that caught the attention (and hearts) of listeners.

"This world is momentary. The things we do, the time we have. So I'm gonna live the best life that I can. I'm gonna show the most love to everyone I can. I'm gonna get out there and represent something bigger than me. I don't want to be selfish. I don't want to leave this world without making some sort of impact," Adam told i-D. And with "Momentary," it's clear that Demo Taped has made a mark.
