Following his global hit 'Be Alright' and fresh from his sold-out Australian tour, multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Dean Lewis releases his brand new single '7 Minutes', a further taste of what's to come from his forthcoming debut album. Dean is also set to make his debut performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Building from a simple acoustic refrain into a surprisingly upbeat anthem, '7 Minutes' was conceived in a London taxi after a disagreement with a girl. "The song is about meeting someone," Dean says, "making memories and then feeling regret."

Many artists have explored the pain of lost love, but few have written about those first few moments of heartbreak when your head is spinning, and the gravity of the situation is dawning. Recorded at The Bar(n) Studio in London with producers Edd Holloway and Nick Atkinson -with whom Lewis worked on 'Waves' and 'Be Alright'- '7 Minutes' has already become a fan favorite with Lewis performing it live during his recent sold out headline shows across the world.
Now with over a billion streams of his music globally and being named Billboard's "Chart-Breaker" in October, Dean has topped local and international charts with 'Be Alright.' Achieving GOLD certification by RIAA in the US in December, 'Be Alright' is still charging up the charts hitting Top 40 at Billboard, headed Top 20 at Top 40, and Top 10 at Hot AC. The track is also the #2 greatest gainer at both Hot AC and AC radio formats and has just debuted Top 20 at AC coming in as the #1 most added this week.
Last month Dean announced his first North American headlining tour which will kick off February 12th at El Rey in Los Angeles. The one-month, 19-city tour across the U.S. and will wrap up on March 13th in Dallas with direct support from recording artist, SYML.
