A range of musical artists and a night of comedy that doesn't shy away from the "F" word (feminism) are on tap in June for Target®Free Thursdays at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center.

ADMISSION IS FREE. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The David Rubenstein Atrium is located on Manhattan's Upper Westside at Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets. The ‘wichcraft cafe, serving food and drinks, is open. SYBARITE5: The Shuffle Effect
Presented in collaboration with the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts
Performing music from Radiohead to Mozart, these five talented musicians have changed the perception of chamber music performance. From the moment that their bows hit the strings, SYBARITE5 engages the senses, redefines the rules and sets a new standard in audience experience. The traditional set program list is replaced with an iPod containing the group's repertoire. The program for the concert is determined live from the stage, as the players set the iPod to shuffle and play whatever piece shows up on the screen. SYBARITE5 has recently appeared on CBS's Early Show, before His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and numerous times at the Aspen Music Festival. In Manhattan they have performed at Lincoln Center, Time Warner Center, Galapagos Art Space, the Museum of Sex, Tishman Auditorium, Bohemian National Hall, the Core Club, the Cell, and the Cutting Room. The Washington Post said of a recent performance [Sybarite5] excelled at the exquisite... [they played] with relish, a sense of comfort, and a frisson of missionary zeal." The group's newest CD release, Disturb the Silence, just debuted as Number 11 on the Billboard Chart.

Music of Spain: Songs, Transcriptions, and Originals works for Violin and Piano
With performances described as "breathtakingly beautiful" by The New York Times, violinist Sean Lee is quickly gaining recognition as one of today's most talented young artists. He has received top prizes at the "Premio Paganini" International Violin Competition of Genoa, Italy, and the Young Concert Artists, Inc. International Auditions. While studying for six years at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of the

internationally-acclaimed violinist Itzhak Perlman, Lee performed as a soloist with the Juilliard Orchestra, and led the Juilliard Orchestra as a concertmaster during four seasons, performing at venues including Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Shanghai Grand Theatre, and Beijing's National Center for the Performing Arts under the batons of David Robertson, Xian Zhang, David Atherton, Alan Gilbert, and others. Feminists are Funny
Guerrilla Girls On Tour is a New York City based touring theater company that creates fresh and original comedies celebrating women's history-past, present and future. All of Guerilla Girls work is presented using masks and draws from a variety of classic theater techniques such as physical theater, vaudeville and parody resulting in a unique style that imaginatively portrays a wide range of characters and scenarios. THE MIGHTY THIRD RAIL
A three-man squadron led by actor/poet Darian Dauchan, the Mighty Third Rail mixes elements of hip-hop poetry, beatboxing, violin, and bass. In this return appearance at the David Rubenstein Atrium the trio celebrates the release of its debut CD which features works premiered at the group's Atrium performance in 2010, as well as new material. Frontman Dauchan is both a Broadway performer (Twentieth Century) and acclaimed poet who was named 2007 Grand Slam Champion of the Bowery Poetry Club's Urbana Slam Team. Together with avant-garde jazz artists Curtis Stewart, violin and Ian J. Baggette, bass this bold, urban collective creates politically challenging works that push the boundaries of hip-hop to define the next generation's voice. Julie Gold is a New York singer/songwriter best known for Bette Midler's version of her song "From a Distance," which won the Grammy for Song of the Year in 1991. The song has been covered by numerous artists including Jewel, Cliff Richard, Judy Collins, The Byrds and Donna Summer. Gold's songs have been recorded by Nanci Griffith, Patti LaBelle, Patti LuPone, Lea Salonga, Andrea Marcovicci, Carol Woods, Sinead O'Connor and Kathie Lee Gifford, among others. Gold is celebrating her newest CD entitled Love is Love is Love and her Atrium performance will feature songs from this new collection along with old favorites. Her other CDs include Dream Loud, Try Love and The Girl I Found. She is currently engaged in a songwriting project for Oxford University Press on a series that teaches English to elementary school children all over the world.
