The cast recording of the hit pop musical DO YOU WANNA DANCE? is now available and being distributed by Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight Records. It features the original cast and well-known songs such as "Dancing In The Streets," "Neutron Dance," "Bust A Move," "Walking On Sunshine," and "Boogie Wonderland." The release is the first in a series of recordings under the Jukebox Musicals® brand that Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight Records is releasing.

Written by leading choral/educational composers and educators Mark Brymer and John Jacobson, DO YOU WANNA DANCE? is a '90s-themed jukebox style musical and the first show the duo has created especially for schools' theatre departments.

"We are so excited to be releasing the cast recording of the show with the premier Broadway record company, Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight. They really understood the kind of musical we were trying to create and could not be more supportive," said Mark Brymer, co-creator of the show.

"We are thrilled that Kurt Deutsch and Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight gave us this shot at bringing our musical to a world-wide audience," added co-creator John Jacobson. "We hope this enables a lot more folks to become familiar with our new musical."

In this musical romp, singing and dancing is what draws everyone to the town center of SnapHappy to meet Mayor Pete's new wife, Mona Lightfoot. But after she literally pulls the plug on the May Day celebration, the politics of dancing start to take the Snap out of Happy. All of the SnapHappy kids are shocked when they hear that a new "Dance Tax" has been levied on anyone who dances in town.
