Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews is in the midst of an extensive coast-to-coast USA headline tour, following her 2018 Fat Possum/Mama Bird Recording Co. released album May Your Kindness Remain, and has released a powerful new single, "Heart and Mind", today. Andrews says she "wanted to write a song that embodies the importance of empowerment when you feel weakened by misrepresentation and/or sexual harassment." Expanding on this she says that "Even if our bodies have been misused or taken advantage of, we have the power to speak with our hearts and minds. The most powerful way to display that message is with simple conversations with those who love us. The mother/daughter bond is incredibly powerful, and I use that to embody protection and safety in this song and video." Find and share the video for "Heart and Mind" HERE. Along with her headline tour in the USA, Andrews will make appearances at AmericanaFest in Nashville where she is nominated for Emerging Artist of the Year, Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin, TN, a special show at The Fillmore in Philadelphia with Shakey Graves and The Wild Reeds, as well as Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco, CA. Andrews will also play with Margo Price and Joshua Hedley on a few of her Australia and New Zealand dates before heading back over to the UK to cap off an incredible 2018.
