Last October, many NASCAR® teams painted their race cars pink in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One of them, Leavine Family Racing (LFR), and country music band Jetset Getset have donated a quarter panel from the "Jetset Getset Ford" to benefit the Susan G. Komen® breast cancer organization, to be auctioned on eBay now through December 16. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/NASCAR-quarter-panel-signed-by-driver-Reed-Sorenson-and-band-Jetset-Getset-/251397177011)

Jetset Getset, which was named by the Country Music Association among "Who New to Watch in 2013," is the official band of Leavine Family Racing. The quarter panel, which bears the band's name, will be autographed by members of the group and by driver Reed Sorenson, who drove the car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

"When our NASCAR partner, Leavine Family Racing, sent us the quarter panel, we wanted to put it to good use for a charity," said Kelli Jette, manager of Jetset Getset. "Since the car was painted pink for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it only made sense to donate it to Susan G. Komen."

All funds raised from the auction will go to Komen to help fund life-saving breast cancer research, education and outreach programs.

"The Jetset Getset quarter panel would make a great gift for any NASCAR fan, and 100 percent of the funds raised from the auction will go to Susan G. Komen," said Renee Rogers, director of business development for Leavine Family Racing.

Susan G. Komen is the world's largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. Since its founding in 1982, Komen has funded more than $800 million in research and provided more than $1.6 billion in funding to screening, education, treatment and psychosocial support programs serving millions of people in more than 30 countries worldwide. Komen was founded by Nancy G. Brinker, who promised her sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would end the disease that claimed Suzy's life.
