New York based comedian, actress, and writer Selena Coppock (Amazon's Red Oaks, VH1, NY Times), is announcing the release of her debut comedy album, Seen Better Days, on December 5, 2017. The album is being release by
Little Lamb Recordings and will be available on iTunes, Amazon Digital Music, and Google Play Music. The album is available here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/seen-better-days/1307874479.
The album was recorded at The Duplex in New York City's Greenwich Village. In Seen Better Days, Selena whips the crowd through priceless stories about unexpected types of bachelorette party strippers, her input on the most efficient and fun way to administer a census, stalking exes through social media, and her dream of opening a gym for recently dumped singles. Her high-energy and extremely present vibe on stage makes the audience feel as if they're watching a hilarious bar fight that's about to go down. The album's humor is relatable to everyone; especially those that love the idea of a feminist rock band and hold the hurdles of living in New York City near and dear to their hearts.
Selena can be seen as a co-star on season two of Amazon's Red Oaks, VH1.com, and NY Times.com. She's a comedy veteran who has performed at all major NYC venues including The Slipper Room, Union Hall, Caroline's, Gotham, Stand Up NY, UCB Chelsea, UCB East, The Knitting Factory, the Fat Black Pussycat Lounge, The Duplex, Le Poisson Rouge and more. She's been deemed a "dark horse audiences never see coming" by The Village Voice and an "impressive young talent" by The New York Times. Her first book, The New Rules for Blondes, was published by HarperCollins in May 2013 and her writing has been featured on McSweeney's, Reductress, The Loom, xoJane, The Frisky and Huffington Post Comedy. Selena co-hosts a quarterly variety show in NYC called Bitchcraft, her storytelling has been showcased on a myriad of stages and podcasts including RISK!, The Soundtrack Series, Stripped Stories and The Moth. Additionally, Selena is well known for running a parody NY Times Twitter account where she pretends to be the NY Times wedding section, which has been written about in the NY Times itself.
