Last week, fans came out in full force to the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, Calif., to support the iHeartCountry Album Release Party with Cole Swindell, celebrating his new album, All Of It. During the live event that included a Q&A session hosted by Cody Alan, Swindell performed a selection of songs from the new album including "Break Up In The End" and "Reason To Drink," as well previous hits such as "Chillin' It" and the emotional "You Should Be Here."
All Of It will be Swindell's third album, following his first two which went platinum and gold, respectively. He has been working on the songs for All Of It ever since his second album came out in 2016, and he noted that he thinks that this is the best album that they've made so far. He feels like a good combination of Cole Swindell and You Should Be Here.
Swindell, who has had seven #1 hits so far in his career, said that the title track of this album really represents the whole body of work. It has it all-it's sad, happy, nostalgic, and more. Swindell gave a thankful shout out to the servicemen and women in the crowd and around the world, specifically mentioning the first responders at the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas in 2017. He noted that the danger isn't just overseas anymore, it's right here at home in the USA. He dedicated his performance of "Ain't Worth The Whiskey" to them, with lyrics saying "Cheers to a good country song/To another long work week gone/And yeah I'm raisin my glass to those savin' our ass overseas."
He also performed the heart wrenching song "You Should Be Here." When asked how he gets through singing the song without breaking down, he answered that he knows he's not alone in feeling that way.
Swindell is going on tour starting October 4th with fellow country stars Dustin Lynch and Lauren Alaina. When asked for one word that describes each of them, he said "muscles" for Lynch, and "badass" for Alaina.
Swindell is also known for writing songs for artists like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Thomas Rhett. He is always keeping an eye out for inspiration to write new lyrics. He agreed with host Harms that it is very important to write at least some of the songs on your own album.
Swindell's newest single "Break Up In The End" has quickly become one of his personal favorites to sing.
