Fresh off of their stunning performance at VIVID Live at the Sydney Opera House last month, Australia's Cloud Control have announced a stint of dates throughout the U.S. this August in support of the forthcoming release of their second album, DREAM CAVE, due out in the U.S. on September 17th on Votiv.

The band recently premiered their brand new single, "Dojo Rising" with Pitchfork, with the accompanying video debuting on Noisey.

Originally hailing from Australia's Blue Mountains, and now residing in the UK, Cloud Control - made up of Alister Wright, Heidi Lenffer, Ulrich Lenffer and Jeremy Kelshaw - are applying last minute magic to the follow up to 2011's Bliss Release. Consequence of Sound says of the band's debut that "Cloud Control masterfully craft their own special brand of folk-infused, psychedelic pop. Bliss Release...not only sticks but stays." After its release, the album was well received by the likes of Tiny Mix Tapes, NME, MXDWN, and Drowned in Sound.

Having won the Australian Music Prize, the antipodean equivalent of the Mercury Prize, the band played hundreds of shows across the globe including supports slots with Vampire Weekend, Weezer, The Drums, and Arcade Fire.

Contrasting the home recorded stylings of Bliss Release, Cloud Control escaped to the countryside to work with producer and mix engineer Barny Barnicott (whose credits include work with Arctic Monkeys, Abulance LTD, Franz Ferdinand and Kasabian). The resultant DREAM CAVE captures something utterly unique - an addictive swirl that blurs the psychedelic guitar pop and soaring West Coast harmonies of their debut with warm electronics, programmed loops and reverb-soaked percussion.
