Singers Scott Dreier and GRAMMY® Award-nominee Jane Monheit released their single "Everybody Loves a Lover" today as an exclusive music download to benefit the Doris Day Animal Foundation (DDAF), it was announced by Lea Price, director of communications for DDAF, and Robin Blakely, founder and CEO of Creative Center of America (CCA). "Everybody Loves a Lover," originally recorded by Doris Day in 1958, and which became one of her biggest chart-topping career hits, is an advance track from Dreier's forthcoming album, "The Doris Day Project" (early 2016 release). This pre-release duet is currently only available through the Doris Day Animal Foundation website http://www.dorisdayanimalfoundation.com.

Additionally, the family of composer Robert Allen has agreed to waive royalty fees for the song so that one hundred percent of the $5.00 donation for the download sales will go directly to benefit the animals.

Commenting on the announcement from her home in Carmel, California, Day said, "I am delighted that Scott Dreier and Jane Monheit have merged their vocal talents to record 'Everybody Loves a Lover,' and am most grateful to them, as well as Patty Allen of Charlie Deitcher Productions, Inc., for donating all of the proceeds from the music download to my Doris Day Animal Foundation. The song and the precious animals are near and dear to my heart, and this is a lovely way to celebrate both."

Price added, "Scott Dreier is not only a gifted performer, but a tireless supporter of the animal welfare community. The Doris Day Animal Foundation will ensure that the proceeds so generously donated from his beautiful duet with the talented Jane Monheit will go a long way toward helping animals and the people who love them."

Blakely remarked, "The vocal collaboration between Scott Dreier and Jane Monheit to support the Doris Day Animal Foundation is a win-win for the animals."

Dreier added, "From the beginning of "The Doris Day Project," I knew that I wanted this duet to benefit the Doris Day Animal Foundation. I'm so grateful to Jane Monheit for graciously contributing her time and extraordinary talent to help bring attention to the foundation. As a life-long animal lover, I am so honored to be of service to our beloved animals and their welfare. I am thrilled that the proceeds from this song will help support the wonderful work continuing to happen at DDAF."

Monheit said, "I was more than happy to lend my voice to this project. Not only am I a lifelong fan of Doris Day, I'm also an animal lover of the highest degree. I'm awfully proud to have been a part of something that will benefit the small creatures that bring so much love and joy into our lives."

"Everybody Loves a Lover," the pre-release single from Scott Dreier's forthcoming album, "The Doris Day Project," is currently available for a $5.00 donation as a music download exclusively from the Doris Day Animal Foundation. The complete album is set to be released in early 2016 on Amazon, iTunes, and wherever music is sold.
