Omaha Performing Arts presents Christmas With The King's Singers in the Kiewit Hall at the Holland Performing Arts Center tonight, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and are available at TicketOmaha.com, 402.345.0606 or at the Ticket Omaha Office inside the Holland Center, 1200 Douglas St.
Prior to the evening performance, The King's Singers will lead a Master Class at the Holland Center with three area choral groups: Gretna High School Concert Choir, Creighton University Chamber Choir and Madrigali et al. At least 10 area high school choirs will observe the Master Class and take part in the Q&A session that follows. About 350 participants are expected.
Grammy Award-winning The King's Singers are David Hurley, countertenor; Timothy Wayne-Wright, countertenor; Julian Gregory, tenor; Christopher Bruerton, baritone; Christopher Gabbitas, baritone; and Jonathan Howard, bass. Founded in 1968, The King's Singers are considered one of the best vocal ensembles, appealing to a vast international audience. The group performs over 120 concerts each year, touring regularly to Europe, the United States, Asia and Australasia. They're known for their delightfully British sense of humor.
