Chris Stapleton Releases Exclusive Video on 'Fire Away', Today

Released in conjunction with May's Mental Health Awareness Month, the new video offers commentary from Stapleton, the music video's director, Tim Mattia, actors Ben Foster and Margarita Levieva and Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen, Founder of Give an Hour, the backbone organization behind the Campaign to Change Direction.

The "Fire Away" music video aims to bring attention to the culture of mental health awareness throughout the country, specifically through The Campaign to Change Direction (www.changedirection.org). The organization, which was introduced to Stapleton through Foster, strives to start a common language about the Five Signs of suffering emotionally: change in personality, agitation, withdrawal, decline in personal care and hopelessness. The Five Signs are clearly represented in the video through Levieva's poignant performance.

"Fire Away" is from Stapleton's certified RIAA Platinum debut solo album, Traveller, which continues to receive overwhelming acclaim with three recent CMT Awards nominations (including Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year for "Fire Away") and two nominations at the 15th annual Americana Honors & Awards.

Released last May on Mercury Records Nashville, Traveller record initially debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart with more than 27,000 albums sold, making it one of the best-selling first weeks by a debut country artist in 2015. The album has since received extensive critical acclaim and has landed him bookings on multiple national TV shows including recent appearances on CBS News Sunday Morning and Saturday Night Live.

Following a historic turn on the CMA Awards-where Stapleton became the first artist to win Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the same awards - Traveller became the first album to re-enter the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart at No. 1, where is stayed for two straight weeks. Additionally, Stapleton recently took home two awards at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance ("Traveller") and, most recently, won six awards at the 51st Annual ACM Awards-Album of the Year (for Traveller as both artist and producer), Song of the Year (for "Nobody To Blame" as both artist and songwriter), Male Vocalist of the Year and New Male Vocalist of the Year. With the six wins, Stapleton ties the record for most ACM Awards won in a single year (only Garth Brooks and Faith Hill have previously won six in the same year).
