Warner Bros./Warner Music Nashville recording artist Chris Janson tied for the top earning first-time CMA nominee with three nominations. He is up for New Artist of the Year, his current single, "Drunk Girl," received a nomination for Song of the Year, alongside co-writers Scooter Carusoe and Tom Douglas, and a nod for Music Video of the Year, directed by Jeff Venable.

Upon hearing the news, an emotional Janson said, "I'm over-the-moon excited, thankful, and grateful for my CMA nominations. I'm a first-time nominee, so to receive three is just amazing. I can't express in words the extreme gratitude and humility that I feel right now. I have a lot of people to thank. First, I want to thank God for all the blessings in my life, especially my wife and kids. My wife, Kelly, has been my No. 1 champion and supporter and she has believed in me from day one. To Espo, Cris Lacy, Shane Tarleton, Wes and all of my amazing team at Warner Bros., especially my promotion team who fights so hard every week to get the message of 'Drunk Girl' heard. I'm eternally grateful. I can't thank country radio enough for giving me a shot and for believing in me and the message of 'Drunk Girl,' and the privilege of having a hit song. To Red Light Management, WME, pfa Media, and everyone on my team for all their hard work. To the CMA and this incredible industry for believing in me and voting. To the Opry for inducting me into your legendary family and for making my dream come true this year. I'm so thankful to my peers who have reached out this morning, the first being Keith Urban, who invited me to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. I love you brother. And finally, to my fans: Man, I cannot wait to do some eagle and tetradactyl dances with y'all."

Janson, along with the award-winning co-writers of "Drunk Girl," Tom Douglas and Scooter Carusoe, recorded a video clip sharing the remarkable "story behind the song." The video was shot on Janson's back porch and gives fans a glimpse into their writing session for the CMA-nominated Song of the Year and Video of the Year. Check it out HERE.
