Two suave and sophisticated stars -- Chris Isaak and Chris Botti -- share the stage with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for a romantic evening of beautiful ballads and enchanting melodies, Friday and Saturday, July 11 and 12, at 8 pm.
The first half of the concert features Botti on trumpet, along with bandmates Billy Kilson, drums; Richie Goods, bass; Ben Butler, guitar; Geoffrey Keezer, piano; Sy Smith and George Komsky, vocals; and Caroline Campbell, violin, along with the LA Phil, led by Bramwell Tovey. Together they perform a set of ballads and standards including "Concierto de Aranjuez," "The Very Thought of You," "When I Fall in Love," and others.
Following intermission, Isaak takes the stage, performing vocals and on the guitar with his band Kenney Johnson, drums; Rafael Padilla, percussion; Scott Plunkett, keyboards; Rowland Salley, bass; and Hershel Yatovitz, lead guitar, along with the LA Phil and Tovey.
