One of the most talented singer-songwriter's to emerge out of Macon in recent years, Chris Glover, has released digitally his highly anticipated debut EP titled 'No One Like Me'. With songs produced by Chris and renowned Macon producer/celebrity/guitarist Joey Stuckey, 'No One Like Me' is a sublime slice of adult pop sure to please and affect those who listen!
Says Chris, "The inspiration behind 'No One Like Me' is basically a culmination of everything that I've experienced and dealt with within the last 3 years. Things from loss, desire and loneliness to faith, love and the frustration of dating. I think the message of my CD would be that the most interesting and beautiful thing about us as humans is the truth. Your truth, regardless of what it is, makes you relatable, vulnerable and beautiful." Chris feels, sonically, his music has a pop feel to it, but lyrically it's more singer-songwriter. His musical influences are diverse and range from Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Bruno Mars, Brian McKnight to Sting, Stevie Wonder and soft rock groups like Ambrosia and Toto. Although no formal musical education, Chris masterfully plays all instruments on his new EP. Five of the six songs on 'No One Like Me' were produced and mixed by Chris, with one track "Leave Me", produced by 'Macon's Ambassador Of Music' Joey Stuckey. Says Chris, "That's probably the most personal and honest song I've ever written. It was a tremendous gift working with Joey Stuckey. We worked on the song from the ground up together and I learned so much from him. I am a fairly new producer and I was surprised to see that our style of production was very similar. The guitar playing on the track is incredible, and so is his ear for mixing. Joey captured the feeling and sentiment of the song and married the music with the lyrics perfectly."Videos
