The Chicago Soul Revue is known for its stirring covers of classic soul music. The band takes its inspiration from the work of the late ShaRon Jones and the DapKings. The album is classic soul and features eight tracks including the single "In or Out." The single captures the band's fun funky groove while telling the story about how the band worked through the process of coming to its current configuration.
Jim Gifford, The Chicago Soul Revue's Founder, describes this record as being a journey. "We are overjoyed with the music. We are now looking to get on the road and take this sound around the country to our fans. We are also looking to expand the genre here amongst young people. Soul Music is people music. We want to use this record to encourage young people to get involved with the genre."
In addition to Jim drummer (right) and Felicia lead vocalist (front-center), The Chicago Soul Revue includes Band members: Kevin Guin on bass (not pictured), David Taylor (left) on electric guitar, Albert Caldwell (middle-back) on keyboard, and Cyrille Laurens (not pictured) on saxophone.
