The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the artists and venues for its annual ChillFest pop music festival-Chicago's only free music festival on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24 from 2-6 p.m. This free one-day-only event celebrates the creative and entrepreneurial roots of the Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods by curating 60+ local musicians to perform in more than 20 neighborhood storefronts at the start of the holiday shopping season.
Participating artists for ChillFest 2018 include: '90s inspired hip-hop group Hugh Lee and the Pariahs, Chicago's only burlesque rock and roll band The Fox & The Hounds, self-taught and self-produced multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Fin, plus returning favorites jazz-pop singer Elle Cassaza and singer/comedian Matt Griffo.
Attendees can stroll from venue to venue, taking in the live music sets while shopping, having a drink or experiencing local art. Each business hosts 3-4 artists in a dedicated portion of its space, with musicians playing 20- to 60-minute sets, paired as closely as possible to the venue's ambiance.
