Chicago Psych Rockers Secret Colours Share DREAM DREAM Video Via Baeble Music Image

Chicago-based psych rockers who get their "sonic lineage from '60s psychedelia and '90s Britpop (Stereogum)" are now sharing their latest music video, which debuted on Baeble Music. "Fun, cartoonish graphics flash on the screen over a peachy pink wall and plants. The Chicago-based band members are all donning retro sunglasses and simply having fun playing their instruments as the 70s-inspired psychedelic vibe takes lead of the song. Not only are they colorful visually, but it's a colorful song, with ferocious, vivid guitar hooks and infectious vocals. Also, the band might sound familiar - seven of their songs were featured in Shameless. No big deal," says Baeble Music. Watch the video here!

They've also been featured twice on Vampire Diaries, twice on on MTV's Finding Carter, as well as many one offs (including a video starring Kendall Jenner and Irene Kim for the Estee Edit Lip Flip Party) and small indie films.

Syncs have been a huge part of Secret Colours legacy, but they've also proven they can do it live. They've played with Warpaint show at the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati in 2013. They also opened for the Raveonettes at Subterranean in Chicago, played SXSW three times, and performed at Austin Psychfest twice. The band was called upon to open for Dr Dog at Lincoln Hall in 2015 to play the third Dr Dog show of a three night Chicago stint. Fans were asking why they did not open for the first two nights.

If you didn't know these guys were from Chicago, you'd assume they're a bunch of Brits, with their insanely Britpop-influenced sound and their unusual spelling of Colours, but the Windy City exports manage to capture the soul of the UK in the late '90s/early '00s and mix in a good amount of 70's Psychedelia for a sound all their own. Ample amounts of fuzz and pop combine to sound something like if The Stone Roses and The Black Angels decided to mate, and their offspring is something to be cherished. With the release of Dream Dream, Secret Colours continues to craft a sound that reaches far beyond the city limits of their hometown of Chicago, IL. Heading back to Dripping Springs, TX and recording their fourth full length LP at Dandy Sounds Studios with engineer/producer Dan Duzsynski, Dream Dream relishes on the current level of the demand on society to rely on their screens, devices, and multi-media influence. Dream Dream takes its musical cues from indie, britpop, psychedelia, and garage rock, captivating listeners through a myriad of melodies that make up Secret Colours signature sound. Songs like "Changes in Nature" and "Pins and Needles" are homages to their influences while "Habitual Ritual" drives a fast-fueled charge of modern life while "Feed the Machine" delivers a pounding vibe of bass with an attitude of 70's London.
