Americana singer-songwriter CHELSEA WILLIAMS debuts a 7" single today -- an original penned song "Honey, Honey" with an endearing b-side cover of Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues." Chelsea will hit the road next week making an anticipated return to Texas after a string of successful performances at this year's SXSW Festival. In addition, Chelsea will be on tour this summer opening for Marc Cohn followed by a supporting stint with her Blue Elan label mate, the legendary, Rita Coolidge.

Chelsea Williams says her new single "Honey, Honey" draws from her country roots, "I grew up listening to Hank Williams and Patsy Cline. It was bound to come out in my music eventually."

Rolling Stone Magazine concurs, naming Chelsea Williams as one of the "Top 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know" upon the release of her debut album Boomerang in late 2017. You won't have to dig too deep to hear her influences; the b-side to her single release is a cover of Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues," a song that is close to her heart. "My grandpa played stand-up bass in a country band, he was a huge Hank fan. I always think of him when I sing that song.

Chelsea honed her craft as a singer-songwriter busking around Los Angeles for the past decade, a beloved regular at Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade. Playing acoustic guitar, Chelsea performs a mix of Americana and indie-folk. The body of music on Boomerang reflects more of her indie-folk influences with a hint of country twang. The musical range between Boomerang and new single "Honey, Honey" shows a depth and versatility that is rarely found in a modern artist. The album has garnered fans and media cred, described as "spectral and luminous, it's as intimate as it is suddenly majestic" by The Bakersfield Californian adding, "listening to it consistently leaves me in awe."

Following the recent YouTube sensation of the Walmart kid performing "Lovesick Blues" many discovered Chelsea's performance version which prompted the b-side release. One viewer said, "I've been addicted to this song ever since it went viral. Love your cover the most tho (sic)" and "I came here for the Walmart kid and now I'm genuinely addicted to this version."
