Charlie Hope, an internationally touring, Juno Award-winner and one of the freshest voices in today's burgeoning family music scene, will celebrate the release of a new album, Sing As We Go!!!, at Symphony Space as part of the 2013-14 Just Kidding series.
Sing as We Go!!! invites interaction, with children's classics like "I Love the Mountains, "Apples and Bananas," and "Skip to My Lou" mixed in with original singable songs. Produced by Grammy Award winner Dean Jones, the new album features vocals by ELIZABETH MITCHELL, Morgan Taylor of Gustafer Yellowgold, and Molly Ledford of Lunch Money. All of these artists are stars in the current family music scene and will also perform shows as part of this Just Kidding season at Symphony Space.
Charlie's music spins regularly on SiriusXM satellite radio, Canada's Galaxy Kids' Stuff Radio, multiple commercial airlines' in-flight entertainment channels, and many other children's radio programs. Her popular "Train Song" was featured on The Vinyl Cafe, heard on CBC Radio and NPR.
Charlie believes that music is vital to a child's overall well-being.Her debut albums I'm Me! and Songs, World of Dreams, Stories and Friends: Let's Go Play! garnered international critical praise. Along with a Juno award, Hope's music has won acclaim from the Independent Music Awards and Parents' Choice, which praises her "unforced sunny spirit and youthful, sweet and clear-as-a-bell soprano." Zooglobble's Stefan Shepherd describes the songs as "sparkly and joyful, with Hope's bright, clear voice carrying the tune." Echoing many other reviewers, Cool Mom Picks recommends Hope's "clear-as-glass, pitch-perfect voice."
When not touring all corners of North America, Canadian singer-songwriter Charlie Hope resides in Seattle, Washington. Visit Charli'e's home page for more information.
