Irish music sensation Celtic Woman returns to North America in 2015 for a concert tour celebrating the group's 10th anniversary. The 10th Anniversary World Tour offers a one-of-a-kind concert experience celebrating a decade of timeless music and dance from the Emerald Isles. The tour recently kicked off in Dublin, Ireland, and will travel across Europe, the US, Australia and United Kingdom. The North American leg launches in Syracuse, NY today, March 6, 2015, and will visit more than 80 cities through the end of June.

Over the past decade, Celtic Woman has emerged as an international touring powerhouse, attracting such critical raves as "guaranteed standing ovation!," "captivating!," "magnificently performed!," "breathlessly dramatic!" and "inspirational!" The group has performed for over three million fans, selling out prestigious concert halls and performing arts venues around the world.

The multi-platinum all-female ensemble is thrilled to celebrate its incredible decade-long journey in America, where the group has performed its fresh fusion of Irish musical tradition in 48 states.

"Celtic Woman has toured around the world for ten years, but America remains true to our heart," says violinist Máiréad Nesbitt. "Our first American concert was in Cleveland in 2005 - the home of rock n' roll. We are all really looking forward to celebrating with all our fans back in America. Even after ten years, it's still an inspiration to look out into the audience each night and see fans of all ages, from 3 to 93. It's going to really be an amazing show."

The 10th Anniversary World Tour showcases three world-class vocalists and a brilliant Celtic violinist, whose talent and charisma bring centuries of musical and cultural tradition to vibrant life. The performances honor Celtic Woman's musical history while looking towards the future, with glamorous new dresses, breathtaking choreography and state-of-the-art stage production. The tour features a career-spanning set encompassing such Irish classics as "Danny Boy," and "Mo Ghile Mhear," alongside contemporary compositions like "Scarborough Fair" and "You Raise Me Up." The 15-member ensemble also includes Irish dancers, the Aontas Choir, and a full band playing an array of traditional Celtic instruments including bodhran, hand crafted tin whistle, bouzouki, bagpipes and Uilleann pipes.

In conjunction with the tour's North American leg, PBS will broadcast a television special highlighting Celtic Woman's spectacular moments over the past decade. A companion CD, Fan Favorites, will also be offered exclusively through PBS stations as part of its spring pledge drive.

Celtic Woman made its television debut in 2005 with a sold-out performance at The Helix in Dublin, which was filmed and broadcast in the United States on PBS. Although initially intended as a one-time-only event, the concert was so warmly received by the public that the group immediately followed with a debut concert tour in the United States. Since then, Celtic Woman's uplifting music has touched the hearts of a devoted audience in North America, while expanding its reach across the globe to six continents and 23 countries.

Celtic Woman's massive success encompasses albums, live concerts and television. Their eight PBS specials have ranked among the network's most-watched music programs. Since 2005, the group has sold more than eight million copies of its nine CDs and eight DVDs, making it the only all-female act to achieve multi-platinum success in both the classical crossover and world music genres during the past decade. Each of its nine CDs - the most recent being 2013's Emerald Musical Gems - has debuted at #1 on Billboard's World Album chart, where the group has occupied the top slot for a record-breaking 112 consecutive weeks. Having been named Billboard magazine's World Albums Artist of the Year six times, Celtic Woman has also scored two Top 10 debuts on Billboard's main album chart and five Top Five DVDs on Billboard's Top Video chart, as well as achieving platinum-level sales in nine different countries. The group has also performed for three U.S. presidents and made high-profile appearances on the daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful and Dancing with the Stars.
