Grammy Award-winning DJ, producer and label boss Cedric Gervais releases his melodic new single 'Higher', out now on Armada Music featuring vocals from Australian singer/songwriter Conrad Sewell.
'Higher' utilises bouncy chords to create playful melodies on the release, underpinned by the raw and emotive vocals of
Sewell.
Cedric's latest offering follows his previous single 'Somebody New' feat. Liza Owen and his catchy remix of
J Balvin and Willy William's summer anthem, 'Mi Gente'.
Cedric has become one of the most in-demand electronic music producers in the world today. In 2013, he received monumental success from his smart rework of Lana Del Rey's 'Summertime Sadness', which amassed
over a staggering 252 million plays on Spotify, hit
#1 on the
UK Dance Charts, and peaked in the
Top 10 of the
Billboard Hot 100. Not stopping there,
Cedric's 'Summertime Sadness' remix was certified
multi-platinum and gained him a
Grammy Award for
'Best Remix'.
Currently captivating audiences worldwide with his energetic sets,
Cedric has held residencies in
New York, Miami and

Cedric recruited the UK born, Australian raised breakout artist
Conrad Sewell to lend his vocal prowess to
'Higher'.

"Conrad is such a great singer and writer, and working on this song with him was nothing short of amazing. We both had similar ideas about where to take this song and it was very natural to arrive at a final product we both loved, and I'm very excited for everyone to hear it."
Sewell propelled into mainstream consciousness in 2014, when he sang on Kygo's worldwide smash hit 'Firestone', which garnered
over 546 million Spotify streams and achieved
platinum and
multi-platinum sales awards around the globe.
Sewell's single
'Start Again' hit
#1 in Australia, went
platinum and earned him the '
Song of the Year' award at the
2015 ARIA Music Awards. From this remarkable success, the pop singer teamed up with Avicii for their collaboration
'Taste The Feeling', the soundtrack to Coca-Cola's campaign of the same name.
"I've been a fan of Cedric's since I first heard his remix of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness," added
Sewell.
