By: BWW News Desk Aug. 22, 2013
Bryony Kimmings' wholesome pop star creation Catherine Bennett plays her first Scottish gig at Hunt & Darton Cafe in Edinburgh on Sunday 25 August at 2pm - and its FREE to attend.
Having warmed up in England, Catherine Bennett is ready for her debut in Scotland. Catherine will be backed by dancers from Figs In Wigs and there will be a special guest appearance from New York artist Jon Burgerman. Nine year-old Taylor Houchen, Catherine Bennett's manager and Bryony's niece will be on hand to introduce her. Kimmings and Taylor has been performing their smash hit show Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model to sell out crowds at the Fringe achieving 5 star critical acclaim. The show tells the story of the creation of museum-working, imagination-championing, bike-riding, tuna-pasta-eating pop star Catherine Bennett by the artist and her niece. Most importantly it explains why they created her as an audacious, provocative protest against the world's flagrant attempts to sexualise and commodify childhood for profit.Sunday 25 August 2pm FREE
