Cat Clyde Debuts New Single 'Bird Bone' Image

Ontario based singer-songwriter Cat Clyde has just debuted her new single, "Bird Bone," along with an animated video that takes the audience through a day in the life of a cartoon eagle as he soars through the swirling colors and shapes of a transcendent world. The bluesy folk tune gives you that good kind of nostalgia, it's heavy without weighing you down. "Bird Bone" is a follow up to her first two singles released this year, "All The Black" (which just passed half a million streams on Spotify) and "Anymore." With a voice brimming with old soul and emotion, Cat finds inspiration in "embracing her own sadness and self-doubt and using it as fuel to become better." Her intoxicating vocals and meaningful lyrics leave the listener endlessly wanting more.

Listen to the song below!

Cat Clyde is a brand new artist out of Stratford, Ontario. A fresh take on the classic sounds of yesteryear. She breathes new life into the velvety vocal, tack-piano, slide-guitar-style that can instantly walk you through the swinging doors of a packed saloon. With influences ranging from Etta James to Janis Joplin to Lead Belly; hers is a mix that goes down smoother than a neat glass of mellow Kentucky bourbon. No longer do you need to reach for your trusty sifting pan and river boots to find gold. You just need to know one name.

Her hit single "Mama Said" has over 9 million streams on Spotify alone. Cat's debut album, Ivory Castanets, came out May of 2017. Since releasing her debut album, Cat has been on a roll. She just got off a sold out tour with JS Ondara and has also wrapped tours supporting ZZ Ward and Paul Kelly across North America. In addition, Cat has shared the stage with Detroit's renowned singer-songwriter, Rodriquez (of acclaimed documentary, Searching for Sugarman), and rocked a sold-out tour in Europe with Shakey Graves. Fans can expect a lot more music from Cat over the next few months.
