Carrie Underwood Visits Austria Ahead Of SOUND OF MUSIC

Country music superstar and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is setting her sights on another medium to conquer later this year with the December live broadcast of THE SOUND OF MUSIC and the star is currently soaking up the sights of her real-life forbearer, Maria Von Trapp, on vacation in Austria.

Underwood took to her Twitter account this week to post a picture of herself alongside husband Mike Fisher astride the breathtaking scenery made so famous in the iconic 1965 Robert Wise film adaptation of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic starring Julie Andrews.

Underwood writes, "Me and Mike on top of a mountain in Austria! #vacationpics"
