Baresko is a staple DJ at CUFF nights, having been picked up by Amine Edge & Dance after having numerous early releases across different labels. He's played alongside the duo all across Europe, experience that has evidently fed into this well-honed 4 track EP for the label.
Lead single 'Marilyn Monroe' alongside Toronto producer Room303 gets the release off to a fantastic start - there's a hint of a verse-chorus structure as the track alternates between its echoing male vocals and irresistibly catchy synth melody-led breakdowns.
'Beggin' introduces a jacking rhythm and powerful bassline, with the 'beggin for more' vocal creating an undeniably sexy groove, eventually leading into an insistent build-up and drop.
Third track 'Big Time' is a no-nonsense peak time affair, with echoey keys combining with a thunderous bassline and crescending drums.
Finally Tim Baresko pairs with newcomer Jouliey Bergmann for 'Groove Percussion'. The aptly-named track features a skipping beat with stabs of bass and choppy claps setting the backdrop for a catchy high-pitched percussion melody. This minimalistic yet effective background contrasts nicely with snippets of a Chic-esque vocal, creating a unique take on the CUFF sound.
This latest EP is proof of CUFF's continuing reign of the bassline-driven take on house that Amine Edge & Dance first made so popular - a sound that is continuing to pack out warehouses and clubs across Europe every weekend.
