Don't miss a spectacular night of blues, tonight, September 21 at 7:30pm when two of the greatest blues guitarists today, Kenny Wayne Shepherd & The Robert Cray Band, join forces on the main stage of the Warner Theatre.
There are few artists whose names are synonymous with one instrument and how it's played in service to an entire genre. The name Kenny Wayne Shepherd has become synonymous with the phrase "young blues guitarist". Listed by Guitar World right in the ranks with B.B. King and Eric Clapton, there's no question Kenny Wayne Shepherd has the chops to go down in history as one of the greatest guitarists of all times. Still barely in his 30s, Shepherd has been selling millions of albums, throwing singles into the Top 10, shining a light on the rich blues of the past and forging ahead with his own modern twist on a classic sound he has embodied since his teens.
Blues Hall of Famer Robert Cray of the Robert Cray Band has been a blues mainstay since the early 1980s. The 5-time Grammy winner has been internationally admired as a stylist whose innovations have brought new life to the blues. While few blues artists have achieved as much crossover success as Robert Cray, such punchy outings as "Chicken in the Kitchen" and "That's What Keeps Me Rockin'" should satisfy the most demanding blues fans.
Tickets for the concert are $38, $48, $78 and can be purchased by calling the Warner box office at 860-489-7180 or online at www.warnertheatre.org.
