Neo-soul artist, Cody ChesnuTT, was best known for his 2002 critically acclaimed, edgy debut album, The Headphone Masterpiece. Questlove took to the record immediately and as a result, a song from album was re-tooled as "The Seed 2.0" with The Roots and went on to become a cultural classic.
Ten years later, the singer-songwriter released his second full-length album,
Landing On A Hundred, which was recorded with a 10-piece band at Memphis's Royal Studios (famed for Willie Mitchell's classic production work with Al Green and many others).
His new music video "I've Been Life" premiered with Rolling Stone. Shot in the beautiful, historic Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn and directed by Alex
Maxwell of world renowned visual effects company, The Mill, this video is an innovative addition to the message of ChesnuTT's critically acclaimed album
Landing On A Hundred.
The video also features the stilt-walking group Brooklyn Jumbies as they walk along the fast paced, buzzing Fulton Street in the borough's heart. Like the song, the video highlights celebration of the culture strength and resilience of the African Diaspora.
