Killa Cam is the Grammy-nominated founder of the Harlem-based hip hop group The Diplomats. Cam'ron's debut album, Confessions of Fire, went gold and made the Top Ten of both the pop and R&B charts. In 2003 Cam'ron teamed up with his fellow Dip Set members Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zeeky to release the Diplomats' debut double-disc album, Diplomatic Immunity, which was quickly certified gold. The album featured the lead single "Dipset Anthem," a remix to Cam'rons hit "Hey Ma" and the single "I Really Mean It". Cam'ron's fourth studio album, Purple Haze, was released in 2004 featuring collaborations with Kanye West, Jaheim, Twista and Juelz Santana. In late 2009/early 2010, Cam'ron released a series of DJ Drama mixtapes titled Boss of All Bosses. Cam is currently finishing the hotly anticipated new Diplomats reunion album, Diplomatic Immunity 3.

Following a hugely successful debut last summer, NYC's premiere Brazilian music festival Brasil Summerfest, returns July 21-28, 2012 to treat fans to a sampling of some of Brazil's most dynamic music artists, demonstrating the richness and diversity of the country's contemporary music scene.

Though originally rarely heard outside their Brazilian homeland, Os Mutantes are now acknowledged as one of the most dynamic, talented, radical and influential bands of the psychedelic era. These brash musical experimentalists fiddled with distortion, feedback, musique concrète, and studio tricks of all kinds to create a lighthearted, playful version of extreme Brazilian pop. The band has received praise from a growing list of luminaries including the Flaming Lips, David Byrne, Devendra Banhart and Of Montreal.

Comprised of 8 members, hailing mostly from Colombia, M.A.K.U. SoundSystem makes big music that begins in traditional Afro-Colombian rhythms and ends somewhere in the punk-jazz stratosphere. Clarinet, trombone, sax, guitarra, and Latin percussion supplement a rambunctious, driving rock core, creating a sound familiar enough to be danceable but always surprising.

Dom is a five-piece band hailing from Worcester, Massachusetts. With fuzzy low-fi distortion, and broken Casio keyboard lines, Dom filters a DIY aesthetic through the upbeat, sunny rhythms of pop music. In August 2011 they released the Family of Love EP on Modular People and Astralwerks Records.
