British Breakout Rationale Releases His Highly-Anticipated Debut Album

U.K. breakout artist RATIONALE has released his long-awaited debut album today, via Warner Bros. Records. The self-titled, self-produced record includes highlights of the genre-bending artist's career to date - including the smash hit "Fast Lane," which has been streamed over 15 million times, as well as the latest single "Loving Life." RATIONALE's compelling sound has received high-praise from critics and industry vets alike, with Pharrell Williams proclaiming, "this person has discovered beauty in their voice," while Entertainment Weekly declares, "RATIONALE makes cavernous, genre-bending jams that feel appropriately massive given the sheer force of his deep, spellbinding vocals." In addition to "Loving Life," which combines RATIONALE's soulful sound with an upbeat melody,other new highlights include "Oil and Water" - a sumptuous blend of dramatic pop dynamics, modernist production embellishments and a foot in tradition with gospel-inspired vocal harmonies - and the percussive march of "Phenomenal," which finds RATIONALE's tender, emotive phrasing conveying a revealing fragility. The majority of the album was produced by RATIONALE while Canadian producer Stint (credits include Gallant and Nao) worked on "Tumbling Down."
