Celebrated British band elbow is set to finish another remarkable year with the release of World Café Live EP. This special five-track EP (digital + CD available November 25th, limited edition vinyl available December 9th), was recorded at WXPN's NON-COMMvention at World Café Live in Philadelphia on May 14, 2014, during elbow's acclaimed 2014 North American tour.

Four of the EP's five tracks are live semi acoustic versions of the songs featured on "The Take Off And Landing Of Everything", elbow's sixth studio album, released in March of this year. Recently named Album of the Year by the UK's prestigious music publication Q Magazine, "The Take Off And Landing Of Everything" debuted at #1 on the official UK album chart and #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart in the States. The album, hailed by fans and critics alike, was followed by a sold-out tour that saw the band extend their rabid fan base even further across the U.S.

The EP also includes a gorgeous rendition of fan favorite, "Scattered Black and Whites," a song from the band's 2001 debut album "Asleep in the Back". Vocalist Guy Garvey recalled this song in a 2009 Drowned in Sound interview: "It's still considered the best song we've ever written by lots of fans, and I can't say I disagree. It's memories, snapshots of childhood mixed together in the same way I used to mix together black and white photographs on the floor, to mix up my memories and find inspiration."

In other band news, elbow, along with Coldplay's Chris Martin, One Direction and Ed Sheeran are among the artists participating in the Band Aid 30 charity single, "Do They Know It's Christmas." Organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, the song, released on November 17th, will raise money for the victims of Ebola.
