Today, Brighton band Delta Sleep share the acoustic demo version of their song "Sans Soleil", as the latest offering from their upcoming Ghost City Rarities EP, out on Record Store Day, April 13th. The new EP features unheard and reimagined versions of songs from the bands well received album Ghost City, which was praised by Q Magazine for adding "an emotional heft to mathy-grooves." As with the original LP, the Ghost City Rarities EP will be released by Big Scary Monsters, the UK label home to American Football, Cursive, and Antarctigo Vespucci to name a few.

The "Sans Soleil (Acoustic Demo)" follows lead EP single "Sultans of Ping (featuring Tricot)". Delta Sleep will return to North America to tour around the EP release this spring, building upon last year's sold-out tour of the USA. All tour dates are listed below and are on-sale now.

Delta Sleeps album Ghost City, released in late 2018, is described by GoldFlakePaint as "like a soundtrack to some blissful utopian dream." On the forthcoming Ghost City Rarities EP, new versions of "Sultans of Ping" and "Afterimage" feature vocals from Tricot that take the songs into a dreamy new and uncharted territory. Two gorgeous acoustic demo versions of stand out album singles "Single file" and "Sans Soleil" also found on the EP, strip the songs to their bare essence, amplifying the emotional heft at the core of the compositions that has resonated so strongly with audiences.

Delta Sleep's attraction has always come from the dynamics they produce. Drawing as much influence from punk, indie and electronic music as the math-rock world they're home to, the Canterbury (via Brighton).

What started as an earnest foray into pushing the boundaries of fledgling math-rock has morphed into something much more for Delta Sleep. The band surprise their listeners with every release by constantly tweaking and perfecting their sound, and their new album is no exception to this ethic. Not content to be defined by any strict sub-genre or category, Delta Sleep continue to mould their sound into something that goes beyond the labels of just math-rock, demonstrating a firm command of structure and melody.

The band's future-facing approach to intelligent songwriting has previously garnered them considerable support from fervent fans and critics alike, combining guitar driven melodies over jazz influenced grooves, all topped with thought provoking and emotional vocals.

Since the release of their sophomore album Ghost City in August, 2018, Delta Sleep have toured extensively throughout UK, EU and most notably the USA: where they completed two sold out tours covering the Mid-West, East & West Coasts. This was the band's first ever time playing in the United States and due to high demand many additional shows were added, including two sell out shows in Brooklyn, one after another.

After a long earned Christmas break, the band are gearing up to head back to the States for a month long endeavour, followed by festivals in Japan, Europe and an extended trip to South America covering Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Brazil.
