Bright Light Bright Light's highly anticipated Tales of the City EP is out today on his own Self Raising Records. Stream/download here.
The EP features singles "New York Pretty," the pride-themed video for which just debuted via
NewNowNext, and "Into The Night," as well as "Thinking About It," a favorite cut from BLBL's most recent full length Choreography. The title is taken from the seminal Armistead Maupin series of the same name, and chronicles, in part, Bright
Light Bright Light's move from London to New York.
To celebrate the release, Bright
Light Bright Light-the solo project of vocalist, songwriter and producer Rod Thomas-will play a very special release show tonight at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg and will DJ the July installment of his monthly Romy & Michelle's SaturdayAfternoon Tea Dance tomorrow at C'mon Everybody. Please see below for full details.
The EP serves as a companion piece to Choreography, joining a pair of Cinematography EPs, which feature Thomas' covers of his favorite songs from film, which have served as major inspirations for the
Bright Light Bright Light project.
