"The Christmas Tour has become an annual tradition for many people, says SETZER. "It's so enjoyable for me because not only do I get to play my own versions of holiday music, but also songs I recorded with my orchestra and the Stray Cats. I love breaking down the set in the middle and just play rockabilly music with a three-piece, which is where I started. I get to change up the set every year and it's also my favorite time of year."
3-time Grammy-award-winner, Brian Setzer is a "Musician's Musician" credited with consistently taking chances with innovative and daring musical styles, while single-handedly resurrecting two forgotten genres of music (rockabilly in the '80's and swing in the '90's). Along the way he has scored chart-topping hits throughout his decorated career as founder/leader of the Stray Cats, his 18-piece Brian Setzer Orchestra, and as a solo artist.
If that wasn't enough, Setzer found tremendous success in redefining Christmas music for a generation desperately desiring something new and exciting around the holidays. The result was three best-selling holiday albums (Boogie Woogie Christmas, Dig That Crazy Christmas, Christmas Rocks!: The Best Of Collection) and an annual Christmas tour that The Los Angeles Times proclaims, "whose sheer joy is irresistible!"
About Brian: Revitalizing 1950's Rockabilly in the 1980s with the Stray Cats along with resurrecting swing and jump blues music with The Brian Setzer Orchestra, multi-Grammy Award winning Brian Setzer is consistently cited as one of the world's greatest living guitarists, a musician's musician and has a best-selling extensive line of elite Gretsch signature model guitars bearing his name. Outside of the studio, Brian made a cameo in the 1987 film, La Bamba (the biographical film written following the life and career of Chicano rock 'n' roll star Ritchie Valens), portraying rockabilly pioneer Eddie Cochran. In 2002, Brian earned the distinct honor of being one of the few musicians to be animated in an episode of "The Simpsons," an episode which also featured rock 'n' roll legends Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. In the same year, Brian was personally requested to induct Chet Atkins into the 17th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
