Boston Pops, Ringo Starr, Randy Newman, Chita Rivera and Tommy Tune, Sutton Foster and A Chorus Line are just a few of the headline events coming to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) during its 2017-2018 season. 2017-2018 season events go on sale Monday, June 12 at 9 am at MayoArts.Org. July and August events, and select September - November events are currently on sale.

The lineup features MPAC's trademark diversity of acts. Classical music is highlighted by Boston Pops, as well as the return of Sarah Chang and Itzhak Perlman. Jazz fans can enjoy favorites including Dave Koz, Kenny G and Boney James. Classic rock acts include Blue Oyster Cult, 38 Special and The Orchestra, made up of former members of ELO. The Theatre lineup will feature the Tony winning A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, the classic A Chorus Line and the Walnut Street Theater's presentation of Baskerville, a Sherlock Holmes Mystery. Events for families include the a capella show Gobsmacked!, Brain Candy Live featuring Adam Savage of Mythbusters and the Hollywood FX Show. Of course, NJ Ballet's Nutcracker returns in a collaboration with New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

"We have put together a great lineup of shows for people of all interests and ages," said Allison Larena, President and CEO, MPAC. "Each year our goal is to bring the world's most diverse entertainment to Morristown, and we have assembled another lineup that reflects the best of the performing arts, including headliners, amazing Broadway productions, fun family events, incredible music and dance from around the world and so much more."

Two "relaxed performances" are currently scheduled for children on the autism spectrum during Autism Awareness Month in April. The Theatre will announce its Explorations School events, free summer movies and other free events later in the summer and fall.

An additional 20-30 ticketed events will be added throughout the season. Details on all events can be found at MayoArts.Org.
