Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and GRAMMY® Award-winning legendary superstar, Jon Bon Jovi will curate two special fan cruise experiences titled Runaway To Paradise, offering fans the vacation of a lifetime. The Caribbean trip will set sail April 12-16, 2019 from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, on Norwegian Jade - the Mediterranean excursion follows August 26-30, 2019, from Barcelona to Palma, Majorca, on Norwegian Pearl.
"Ever since we started Runaway Tours, it's given me such joy to entertain the fans and tell them the stories of where my songs came from. What I've realized after all these years is that they've found not only my stories, but their own," said Jon Bon Jovi. "Hundreds of people have gotten together every time we take off for a destination, and long-lasting friendships are born. We want to continue that tradition in Runaway's fully-immersive vacation trips. Get ready, we'll see you out there!"
Co-produced by Runaway Tours, creators of world-class intimate artist experiences, and Sixthman, the industry leader in music festival vacations, the Runaway To Paradise immersive fan experiences will feature two unique Jon Bon Jovi performances on two different nights. Jon will be joining guests on board the ship to perform a full rock show of Bon Jovi hits and other favorites on the pool deck with the 11-piece Kings of Suburbia band and a second acoustic storyteller set where cruisers can ask Jon all of their burning questions all while out at sea together.
Platimum selling rockers, Collective Soul will join the Caribbean sailing performing a catalog of hits on board such as "Shine," "The World I Know," and "December" and more in addition to participating in a fan meet and greet session. The iconic Grace Potter will sail on the Mediterranean cruise rocking fans with her high energy and electrifying live pop-rock shows on board and getting one to one with guests in a fan based activitiy.
Details of Runaway to Play, a special fan voted band competition will be announced soon which will give three artists on each of the two sailings the chance to win performing sets and rock out with guests on the Runaway to Paradise floating music festivals at sea. Each act will also participate in on board meet and greet sessions.
The Runaway to Paradise experience will also bring up and coming British pop artist Beth Thornton and the ultimate Bon Jovi tribute band Slippery When Wet performing on both cruises along with DJ's cranking Bon Jovi favorites and more acts to be announced.
Both cruises will also feature engaging panels with key figures from Bon Jovi's storied history, including a behind the scenes look with longtime engineer Obie O'Brien and Jon's brother Matt Bongiovi, celebrated tour photographer David Bergman and son Jesse Bongiovi, whose Hampton Water Wine will be featured during the Runway to Paradise cruises and in the coming year across the full Norwegian Cruise Line fleet.
"We couldn't be more excited to curate the biggest and most immersive Jon Bon Jovi experience to date," says Runaway Tours creator (and Jon Bon Jovi's brother) Matt Bongiovi. "Whether you're celebrating the love of the music, a special milestone or planning the ultimate girls getaway you've put off for way too long, the Runaway to Paradise cruises will create memories that last a lifetime. We are doing a deep dive into everything Jon Bon Jovi like never seen before!"
The action on Runaway To Paradise goes far beyond the music. Guests will get up close with historic rock memorabilia in the Jon Bon Jovi Gallery, shop for new looks in the Hart N Dagger pop up shop, and even enjoy a meal while giving back to those in need at The JBJ Soul Kitchen that will be brought to life on board all while enjoying a stunning vacation to the white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters of Nassau, Bahamas or to Palma Mallorca in Spain - rich with culture, entertainment, food, drink, sun and fun.
