iHeartMedia announced today that global rock icons Bon Jovi have been added as performers at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards which will be hosted by Hailey Baldwin and DJ Khaled. It was also announced that Bon Jovi will receive the iHeartRadio Icon Award; Chance The Rapper will receive the 2018 iHeartRadio Innovator Award; and Camila Cabello will be honored with the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award presented by L'Oréal Paris at the fifth annual fan-fueled television music event live from the historic, "Fabulous" Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 11, 2018.
Previously announced performers include Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Maroon 5, Camila Cabello and Charlie Puth.
iHeartRadio will honor three-time Grammy winner and seven-time Grammy nominee Chance The Rapper with the 2018 iHeartRadio Innovator Award for his groundbreaking accomplishments in the music industry and his unsurpassable contributions to social causes. As an independent artist, he has risen to the top of hip-hop superstardom and uses his voice to fight for youth empowerment through the arts, education and civic engagement with his non-profit organization, SocialWorks. The multi-faceted artist, activist, actor and entrepreneur is also nominated in the Best Remix category. Past honorees of the iHeartRadio Innovator Award include Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, U2 and Bruno Mars.
At this year's awards, L'Oréal Paris and iHeartRadio will present Camila Cabello with the first-ever Fangirls Award, which recognizes a female artist who has pushed boundaries with her music and message while inspiring her fans around the globe.
Camila embodies the L'Oréal Paris philosophy, "Because You're Worth It" demonstrating ambition, passion and a strong sense of self-worth by breaking out on her own with her first solo album, "Camila." Her No. 1 hit single, "Havana," topped Billboard's Pop Songs chart for seven weeks, marking the longest reign of a song by a solo female artist in nearly five years.
In addition, Bon Jovi will receive the first-ever iHeartRadio Icon Award for their global impact on pop culture, longevity, and continued relevance as a touring and radio force with a loyal fan base worldwide. Bon Jovi has sold over 130 million albums and has performed to more than 34 million fans across 50 countries. The Grammy winning band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2018.
Nominees for the iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced on January 10. Artists receiving multiple nominations include Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled, Demi Lovato and The Chainsmokers. For the first time ever, this year iHeartRadio will present seven awards in the seven nights leading up to the Sunday, March 11 telecast. Each night at 8 p.m. ET, an artist will be presented their award and give an acceptance speech.
The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards will be hosted by Hailey Baldwin and DJ Khaled and will simulcast live on TBS, TNT and truTV at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT; on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide; and on the iHeartRadio app, the free all-in-one digital music, podcasting and live streaming radio service. TV subscribers can also watch the iHeartRadio Music Awards on the TBS, TNT and truTV Apps.
